Sosanya Moses Olatomiwa, known professionally as Stomzzy Ace or COG (Child of God), is a rising Nigerian-born musician, songwriter, and storyteller whose sound is as raw, emotive, and powerful as his life experiences. Born and raised in Ọja Ọdán, Ogun State, Nigeria, Stomzzy Ace is a 19-year-old artist based in Lagos, Nigeria, who has dedicated his life to music, his first love.
Though he has dabbled in other creative ventures like photography, Stomzzy Ace’s focus has always been on music. His journey began in his early teens when he started writing and recording songs as a way to express emotions that words alone couldn’t capture. What started as a personal escape soon turned into a mission, using his music to connect with others who feel the same struggles, hopes, and resilience.
Stomzzy Ace’s musical style is a unique Afro-fusion blend that mixes Afrobeats, street-hop and conscious vibes, underpinned by emotional melodies and raw storytelling. His sound is grounded in Yoruba expressions and street lingo, layered with soulful melodies that speak to both the streets and the spirit. He calls it “deep street soul” music that captures both the pain of the hustle and the triumphs of survival. His music resonates with listeners because it’s real, raw, and relatable, there’s no faking it. Every lyric is drawn from his lived experiences, his dreams, and his struggle.
Stomzzy Ace’s growth as an artist has been built from the ground up. He began independently, recording his music and promoting it on social media. What started as a few drops has now grown into a loyal and supportive fanbase. It’s been a journey of grassroots hustle, with him pushing every song and building momentum with each release.
His music is inspired by Seyi Vibez, Olamide, Bella Shmurda, Burna Boy, and the sound of his environment. From pain to struggle and the resilience to keep pushing through, his influences shape his sound, but it’s his personal journey that makes it distinct.
His debut EP, Sent to Serve, set to be released on January 10, 2025, showcases his emotional depth, with tracks like God Sent, 411 (Information), Ego, and a tribute to Mohbad titled RIP Legend.
Additionally, Stomzzy Ace has already made waves with singles like Tears of a Hustler, Hustle and Money Matter, the latter of which received strong reception for its authenticity and relatable themes.
His most recent release, Totori, is now available on all major streaming platforms and continues to solidify his place in the Nigerian music scene. He’s also looking forward to his next project, the No Manual EP, set to drop in December 2025, a collection of 6 new tracks that will push his artistic boundaries further.
Stomzzy Ace has already performed at several local shows and open mic events in Lagos, gaining invaluable stage experience while continuing to grow his catalog. As he hones his live performance skills, his music is steadily reaching more fans.
