Pastor Modestus Asagwara – Music Career

Pastor Modestus Asagwara, born Modestus Chileakam Asagwara on July 16, 1989, hails from Umukpo Agwa in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. Now based in Ogun State, he is a dedicated minister of the gospel, a passionate worship leader, and a recording gospel artist.

Coming from a musically inclined family, Pastor Modestus was the first among them to release an album. Initially, he dabbled in both secular and gospel music, but in 2011, he made the life-changing decision to fully dedicate his talent to gospel music. However, it wasn’t until 2015 that he fully embraced his calling, leading to the release of his debut album in 2016.

His journey into gospel music began in the Assemblies of God Church, Sango, where he served as a worship leader. A major turning point came when Sister Esther Obi, a fellow church member, released her album. Inspired, he sought her guidance and was introduced to her producer, who eventually became his producer and mentor, helping him refine his craft.

Over the years, Pastor Modestus has been devoted to spreading the message of Christ through music, drawing people into the presence of God with his soulful and spirit-filled worship. He is also the visionary behind Tehila Concert in Assemblies of God Church, an event aimed at inspiring worshippers, though it is yet to gain widespread recognition.

Beyond music, Pastor Modestus is deeply involved in pastoring and event organizing, using his influence to impact lives both spiritually and musically.
